Ever drive around in your Audi RS6 Avant and think, "You know, 553 horsepower just isn't enough for me?" Probably not. But apparently there are some crazy souls out there who do have those devious thoughts, and so Audi is reportedly making an even more powerful wagon just for them.
Enter the Audi RS6 Avant Plus, which according to a leaked image from a British car dealer and posted on Car and Driver will have its 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 boosted to 600 horsepower. That should be more than adequate for slaying supercars after you drop your kids off at school.
Here's the text:
"The RS6 Plus is the latest of Audi's stunning RS 'Plus' models, offering even greater performance and agility than the standard RS6—on or off the track. The RS6 Avant Plus uses a tuned version of the 4.0-litre V-8 TFSI RS6 engine which produces 600 hp—40 more than the RS6."
Take this with a grain of salt until it becomes official from Audi, but it seems promising. Unlike our prospects of getting one in the U.S.
Update: It seems it was AutoEvolution that first found that page about the RS6 Plus, and here's the statement they got from the dealer in question:
"This page is extremely old and was created when the RS 6 was first announced to get us prepared for launch, but since an RS 6 Avant plus was not announced along side the regular model, this page wasn't needed and has been sat dormant since."
I wouldn't rule it out, but I wouldn't bet on it either.
